Tucked away in historic downtown San Antonio, the Historic Best Western Sunset Suites Riverwalk is a boutique-style hotel that was renovated in 2001. Located blocks from the Convention Center, Alamodome, Riverwalk and the Alamo, the hotel itself is as rich with history as its surroundings. The lobby basement of this hotel was once a speakeasy during prohibition days that was known to have housed such talents as Louis Armstrong. The stained glass lobby doors open to display an expanse of rich solid oak mission-style furniture, reflecting the day of its original construction in 1896. <br> Sixty-four guest suites are equipped with mission-style furnishings amidst a hue of sage green décor.
